Question Upgrading to 1.21 questions

Okey Dokey, getting ready to upgrade and I have a question that I haven't been able to find the answer to, I'm hoping someone out there will konw...

When upgrading, will files that I currently have in my "tranfers" folder stay active, or should I wait until they are finished and all clear? Or better yet, should I cancel them and restart them after I've upgraded?

Any and all replies/opinions would be appreciated.
