Only Connected to 7 hosts?

I've just joined and have version 1.32 (Is this the same as Xolox Ultra 1.32?) When I connect it says I'm connected to some number up to 7 hosts? When I do a search I get very few results and almost none with a "Score" higher than "1". It's almost impossible to get a download. Is there something wrong with my connection. (I have cable internet access)
