app shutting down

just installed v1.5 and for some inexplicable reason the application shuts down at will. I can be downloading or in a forum and it just shuts down. I have xp, adaware (turned off) and mcafee (turned off). any ideas out there before i switch to another p2p application. thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. Sometimes it happens quickly, other times it takes a while. If you hear anything, let me know.

I have experienced the same problem too and have discovered a solution.

If you don't download anything... the program works great ! Try cancelling all your downloads quickly to see if problem persists.

im bad i know... i couldn't resist :p

wow.. hMmmMm

i'll pass that on, so based on the feedback ( the last post lol), it happens when downloading only?

you can get a new build here that has some added bandwidth tweaking in network advanced settings. But i will pass this on to the coders, thanks all.

Im running Windows ME and I also just installed updated version .... and mine also shuts down ... and rebooting does not help me.

New to this program ...... was hoping this one was better than Kazaa.

Well, I have used this for about 4-5 days now. I reinstalled and put an icon in the tray as well as started the app at startup. I then shut it down if I am not using it. By doing this it seems to have greatly reduced my number of shutdowns. in the last 2 days it has only shut down unsolicited once. So that is my cure so far.

XoloX closing silently issue some people experience is being worked on. It's hard to narrow down ( or isolate) the cause since no error message is left.

whenever there is a new build that addresses that issue, you can be sure it will be told on here and the client start page.

thanks
(repeat from another thread)

The 'silent bug' hopefully is fixed and your feedback would be great if you've had problems xolox closing on you.

Download the NEW build here and let us know if this resolves the issue:

I went back to v 1.41

Last night I decided to update my Xolox. I uninstalled my v 1.41. I am so glad I didn't delete it.
I run windows me, 192 ram. I installed 1v 1.5. When the program popped up, I tried to download 2 files and the program crashed, crashed, crashed, error, error, error. I wasn't able to download a single file.
There was nothing wrong with v 1.41, so I deleted the update and reinstalled v 1.41 and no crashes, no errors, and was able to download 3 files, quickly.
I am happy with v 1.41. I have learned that if it ain't broken, LEAVE IT ALONE!!!
Thanks Xolox for v 1.41
