question with windows media player
 
i had windows media player v.6.4, when i tried to play the downloaded videos(avi) i got this error 80040200 unable to download an appropriate decompressor..
doing as told from the microsoft support web site i set my internet options in the security tab to use low security for the internet. i upgraded to mp 7.1 but still ain't working..
i was told to download something called bling bling...but i don't know what is this....
any help would be appreciated

Try downloading and installing the DivX 3.11 codec (http://ftp.pcworld.com/pub/video/vid..._3.11alpha.zip).

I dunno how great of an idea direct-linking files is from forums... for anything divx, I recommend www.divx-digest.com or you could also look at the official homepage: www.divx.com
