I keep losing percentages on download.

I have been trying to download a larger image file since early yesterday, twice now I have gotten up to 97%, and when I come back to check on the progress, it's dropped to 81%, what gives? Any ideas? Thanks for helping this newbie.

Corrupted file

This is what causes the percentage completed to drop.

I have had a file fail d/l at 97 at least 4 times it can be a drag! I wish the software was smart enought to realize it had gotten bad data from a particualar file and not download from it again. I wonder if I will ever get this file!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....... just happened to me. I got 98% of a DivX, now I'm down to 38%!!! OH NO! Does this mean that every time i get some bad data this is gonna go on and on 4ever!??! Will I ever get a finished download, or should I just stop now and stop wasting my time? This is NOT good, guys. A new p2p just come onstream might solve this problem, grokster.

happened again

me too!! it has now happened to me 5 times it goes to 99 %
and then drops back to 81% this is a major flaw at the very least after this happens once the program should start checking at smaller intervals not wait till its almost done to check again

Forget It.

After messing around for couple days, I've given up on gnutella branded "ftping". Went to mIRC, and found a warez sight, quicker easier and less fuss.

don't use grokster

Someone above suggested grokster is a good P2P client program. I was going to try it but soon found out that it has more spyware in it than any other client out there, AND they can't even make an original program on top of that! (It looks like Kazaa.) Phuck grokster in the ****!

Yeah... I posted above, installed grokster and uninstalled pronto - I didn't install the spyware, but found it was pretty crap anyway... noooooooooo. Won't be using again. But still trying to get a full download on Shrek cause of these dropped bad data downloads, days later! And I can't leave XoloX running when I'm not using the pc for long as it gets these violation errors that seize it up. Oh well.... still got me a few good movies OK, so you can't complain too much! XoloX is still pretty good in my book!

eventually!

well, I got Shrek downloaded eventually, so good news there, and worth the wait. Also re the violation errors during inactivity, close XoloX to an icon in the sys tray and it should now work OK if you need to keep the pc running overnight or whatever.

I got the same problem. Xolox froze on me once and I got a fatal exception error another time and was forced to reboot; when I got back on, most of my downloads' percentages had fallen.
