I figured out how to use the irc with peeranha even though i am using another program now for irc but thank you godXblue and Morgwen for getting me started.

when i was still using peeranha for irc, i seemed to notice that the scroll bar would not work by the arow keys. i would have to click and drag the scoll bar. this was on the middle section of the screen where the messages are typed. i found this on version 1.4 (final). i dont know if anyone else has experienced it or if i am just a gimp .
