irc
hello,
just a quick question about peeranha v1.4 (final) how does the irc chat window work, how do i connect, and do i need any specific user id? well, maybe its three questions.....  hey cultiv8r, i got post number three

Hi Iamnacho!
As I know you need a nick and a specific ID - change this in the configuration window! To connect just klick the connect button in the IRC window! When you are connected type: /join #gnutelladev This is our home channel! I think we should release a short description for this IRC chat! There are many commands, to many to explain them all here! hi,
go to the configurationmenu in the PEERanha client! Click on the row with "IRC_Ident" in it! Change this value to something like your name e.g. Joe Smith. Don't forget to press return! Then click on "IRC_NickName" , enter your NickName and press return! Now switch over to the IRC-Window and press the connectbutton! The connect may take a while! ... You are logged in! - godXBlue

aditional questions about irc and peeranha
I figured out how to use the irc with peeranha even though i am using another program now for irc but thank you godXblue and Morgwen for getting me started.
godXblue when i was still using peeranha for irc, i seemed to notice that the scroll bar would not work by the arow keys. i would have to click and drag the scoll bar. this was on the middle section of the screen where the messages are typed. i found this on version 1.4 (final). i dont know if anyone else has experienced it or if i am just a gimp . keep up the good work!

Can anyone give me a hand connecting to this channel using mIRC or Trillian? I'm a complete noob when it comes to IRC and connecting via PEERanha isn't really feasible for me right now (see thread regarding CPU usage).

Choose an IRCnet server
Just make sure you use an IRCnet server near to you!
