I am running Windows XP Pro.

The error message is:

PEERanha.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

AppName: peeranha.exe AppVer: 1.4.1.0 ModName: peeranha.exe
ModVer: 1.4.1.0 Offset: 0001edce

I am atttaching what the system generated.

Please let me know if it is enough to work with.

If you can see my email address, it would be much quicker to email each other than to use this forum.

Regards,

Bill

I just tried the new (Feb. 10th) beta and my cpu usage is still through the roof with it.

yes, the cpu usage is still not right yet, but godxblue is working on discovering the source for this....hopefully it will be found soon and fixed..... stick around :)

Hosting myself

I show up twice as an active host. Once with my IP address and once as local host. This happens every few hours or so.
I am running 1.4.1 Beta.

Oops!

I see why I am hosting myself. I am also running BearShare and it is my BearShare's IP that is listed as a host. I'd like to have an "always exclude IP" list.

on cpu-usage

first i´d like to say that this is one great programm. cpu- usage is a bit puzzling: i´m running win2k 2sp on a thunderbird at 1260Mhz and peerana 1.41 at times consumes all cpu-usage and time but not continually. After starting the programm it needs about 3-6% (i guess thats ok for a p2p-client, it´s about what limewire and others need as well) but after about 3-5 min running it uses 100% which is a bit greedy. funny thing is as soon as i start to tinker with it( background/front or hide/show) cpu-usage drops. whats bs?
keep up the good work...

CPU Usage

Hi,

I can't find the reason why it uses such a high cpu power. Please try to figure out under which condition it uses high CPU power.
I only have an old 56k modem connection. Well, I can't test it.
Please help me!?!?!

Or does anyone sponsors a DSL connection? (*g* Only a question!)

Huge amount of Queries

I see 80% CPU usage with 100% usage spikes in PEERanha Beta 6 (with other P2P I see 40% to 50% CPU usage) on my 750Mhz AMD Duron. I have a crapper of a Cable connection (speed tests show it to be 1/3 or less of U.S. national average).

I have tweaked down the settings on PEERanha in an attempt to reduce the load on my system. I noticed there are a huge amount of Queries in the Monitor, I see about 50/Query/sec. (though it really moves to fast to get an accurate count). I was wondering if this is the normal amount for most Gnutella clients, or if this is what is contributing to the heavy processor usage.

Also with PEERanha idling (no uploads, no downloads, no searches) the CPU usage is 10% above my normal offline usage for 10 to 15sec., then spikes to 100% for 5 to 8sec. in a continual cycle.

P.S. I have tons of RAM and MemTurbo.

CPU Usage

Hi,

I try to speed up the Query-Routine again. Maybe there's the CPU-bug.

thx markyrwol
