Just a lamer LimeWire?

Gee, just tried this thing. Looks to be nothing more than LimeWire. The only two differences I could see are.

1) Much uglier interface.
2) Asks for personal information to use it!

Now please tell me why anyone should use this crud over LW itself!?

I think it is the LImeWire engine. Major differences I see (other than ads) is that Swapnut users are required to share files where LimeWire allows you to not share or set bandwidth to 0%. If by doing this Swapnut keeps me from having multiple downloads showing 0.00 Kbps transfers, then that in itself will be worth it. Also, I only see SwapNut users on my searches. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing, although almost every download I have tried has been successful.

SwapNut is designed to be a base-level, easy-to-use filesharing system. In creating it, we made a special effort to keep the most important features used by most people front and center.

That results in a few less "hardcore" features in some cases, but we fell makes SwapNut the most accessible filesharing program available.

I agree with the previous poster. I have both LimeWire and SwapNut. I personally like the way SwapNut looks, but I am more concerned with functionality.

Also the search results will only show SwapNut users unless you check the box to SHOW ALL RESULTS. But like the other poster mentioned, I am finding that 90% of my downloads are going through, and I have not seen this on any other Gnutella application so far.

This might be a wake up call for others to start doing some of the same things SwapNut is, in terms of making files available, otherwise Morpheus & Kazaa are always going to win out.

I would like to see distributed downloads in SwapNut (downloading from multiple sources at once.) Any idea when that will be added?
