Not A virus and Not spyware BUT
 

the installation includes Gator...

I specifically chose not to install Gator for VERY well known reasons ( for the un initiated http://www.cexx.org/gator.htm )

but lo and behold there was fsg.exe where it should be installed on my system.. (Plaintive Sigh) however..

now if I remember correctly first you get the scumware (gator) installation then you get the Swapnut sign up however all installed at same time. (and Gator was MOST definately not slected)

swapnut itself may not be spyware or parasitic ... but Gator most certainly has a errr Bad reputation...

Also wnad.exe and fsg are not removed by the uninstall procedure, niether is the directory when they are installed. I can understand tha occaisional empty dir are left installed, but not Exe's

so although the software itself is not actively scumware, It is distributed with the big bad blue meanie of kit that is GATOR!!!! (havent found wnad refs yet)

Can anyone verify that Gator, or for that matter, any other "Scumware" has been downloaded with SwapNut? I can't help but wonder if this was some way to call attention to scumware.com. My download doesn't have any of the scumware listed. Never did as far as I can tell.
Lately is seems that no one is logging on. I wonder if people just got scared. Check before you post something like that please!
