When typing a caption to a photo in Photoshop CC2019 the text shifts from right to left. How do i make it shift from left to right?
If possible, step-by-step directions, please, as I find it hard to follow videos. Many thanks. Joe Busuttil |

Sorry I've been away. Switch from Type Tool to Move Tool. The Move Tool is usually at the very top or beginning of the Tools panel and has arrows pointing left-right-up-down. Then but only if you need to re-adjust the text such as text size or font you need to switch back to the Type Tool for editing the text.

I have just reviewed your question and realised I might have misinterpreted your problem. There's a few things to check.
First, go to your Photoshop's Character Panel and then open up the Character Settings on the top-right of the panel. Ensure the Character Orientation is set to Left-Right and not Right-Left. Paragraph settings is also worth checking. Although Paragraph alignment should not be the problem, the wrong setting might confuse you. Although I suggested Left-Right alignment in the image, this really depends upon your preference for the specific text location & alignment for the image.
