what's the difference between INCOMING and INBOX emails received? And how to find the incoming ones when they are not moved to the inbox?

Are you referring to gmail? The only part of gmail I can think of that might include incoming is gmail's chat function. I have not used the chat function in several years. As I recall, back then the chat messages would automatically be listed in the inbox. I believe this happened for notification purposes. I think you could also reply directly via these emails.
