I making a cd for a kids party, How do i download the edited versions of songs?
(No explicit lyrics).

no cursing Is there a way to specify this when searching?

You might want to go in tools, options, and filter there you can select "ignore adult content" and the song should be clean. But sometimes if it's a song which usually has --unwanted-- words in it look at the description sometimes they say clean. you can also ask the host, you do this by rightclicking on the download and clicking chat with host. This might not work as they might have the chat feature disabled.
If you've got a fast connection you can just listen to the song when it's done.
