all songs are garbled and can't be recgnized, help!

:confused: I've spent all day on this...everytime I dnld a song it works, when i launch it, you can't recognize it. I've tried a bnch of different songs, etc.
I have windows XP and tried turnng off the firewall all together but that didn't work.
I excluded Limewire from the firewall when installing.
Can anyone please help me?:confused:

LW's media player is not the most reliable for playback (there's suppose to be improvements in LW 4.2 when it's released.) Might I suggest you change to your default player. Go to LW's menu Tools-Options & Player & then Untick the LW media player option. And then press BOTH the Apply & ok buttons.
If you want to change your default player, highlight/select an mp3 file, go to File-Properties & change the default app that opens it.
