help cant play avi or any movie files
 
hey ppl i have win xp new build and the new windows midea player with full codecs but ever time i download on limewire and try to play a movie or burn it of it says codecs missing , can any1 help me out do i need a new player

end off what huh? uthanks 4 the help but u give me a link to a french site and im english put i will just download the english version on limewire to c does it work nice 1....

Have you never heard what a mirror site is? I dwnlded my version from the France location & VLC's in English. VLC is Free!

I gave you a link to a french site? Hmm. I must be blind. As far as I can see, there is no sign of french in any of the pages that you must follow in order to dld the player. You should have read around in the Videolan site first.

No you were right Murasame! It's just that the dwnld page lists mirror sites which are alternative sites to dwnld from. It's the same language version whichever site you dwnld from: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

I know I was right. ;) Anyway, in short, a mirror site will help you get a file faster (if you choose one that is close to you). Just take it as if the mirror site had the file you wanted and since it's closer than the "original" site, you'll get your file faster.
