Dvd

Please help me. Ive just looked at a problem that a young gir put on

"Once I download a movie file, how do I burn it to a disc so that I can watch it in my DVD player? Also in the type column, what is the difference between an "mov" and a "wmv" this again is when movies are displayed in the search window."

/i'm having exactly the same prob. Someone replied to her problem by telling her to go to a wbsite. I went but cant make head nor tail of that either!!!!

Please help me!!!!

I don't know which thread you're refering to or how you figured it was a young girl (a guess or worse.) Quote:" ...either!!!!" Where does somebody say they can't make sense of it? I also don't know what you find confusing about that site. It has 'all the answers you need to know'!!! They show you free tools to use & the best of the shareware tools. They also have a forum: http://www.videohelp.com/forum/index.php & this thread there probably has everything you need to know. If you're not sure then post there: Click on this link I hope you get a better understanding now. Good luck. :)

I hope you don't mind doing a bit of reading. To burn from the following types click onto the links to find related threads: 1. DivX 2. AVI 3. WMV 4. (a) mov (b) .mov As far as mpeg's go, it will depend upon your burner softw, else you may need to convert it again by separating the audio & video tracks if your burner doesn't support it. But be careful! Movie conversion is a complex topic & sound & video can go out of synch with poor conversions or utilties used.
I frequently burn dvd's but I start off with high/full quality video. I don't have much experience trying to burn from dwnlded video formats that have been re-encoded into smaller easily transportable formats. Perhaps somebody else on the forum can give you some hints here.

May I recommend you get yourself a decent burner application such as Roxio or Nero which can convert avi & mpeg to dvd.
