ulta peer I have a cable connection at home and had the cap takin off so my net goes up to 5 megabits down and 550 up i want to be an ultra peer how do i do this. |
You don't have to do anything . . . it's automatic if you have the bandwidth (yes), have pretty good uptime ( a few hours a day is enough, I think), and can accept incoming connections. See the sample bug report in the options, and scroll through it to see if you can find the line about incoming connections. If it says TRUE and you didn't disable ultrapeer capability in the options, you'll become an Ultrapeer when needed. Cheers |
And, please... Please, if you are going to act as an Ultrapeer, limit the number of your shared files. As 'broad' as your bandwidth is, it can all easily be 'used' for file transfer operations with an excess of transfer slots enabled... and thus insufficient bandwidth for really proper Ultrapeer actions. |
