Viruses as well but different

I keep getting flagged for a malicious virus that is trying to get a file. This has only started since I downloaded Limewire. I am willing to share my music files because well there are some rare songs that I spent 10 or more years trying to find. Will someone please tell me what I am looking for when I'm sharing a file with another user and that it is not a virus?

Can you please give us more info ?

What program/application is 'flagging' a file ?

Your last question is not exactly clear... Please explain a bit more...

and, the usual...
What Computer
what Operating System
what version of LimeWire
and anything else you might think will help us to help you...

Clear as mud eh?

I have Windows XP Home ed with a 1.9 Gig AMD Athlon processor, 512 M Ram and Norton Antivirus. There isn't a specific file that is being targetted but the notification is listing like this in Nortons: BackWeb-8876490 and then .exe. I keep blocking them. Does this help a little?

Have you allowed XP Service Pack 2 to be installed on your machine ?

When you say they are not 'specific files', can you say if they are standard 'music type files' or videos or ISOs or what... The notice from Norton implies that they are .exe files... But that may be an incorrect interpretation as it could suggest that there are .exe files contained within what you are D/Ling... ???
