Can't get limewire songs into ipod

Can anyone help me? I am a total technophobe and am just learning how to work my ipod. I downloaded songs from limewire and they transferred automatically into my itunes page. Normally when i connect my ipod the songs go onto it automatically but the limewire songs don't do this they stay in itunes. I would really appreciate advice.

That's b/c iTunes must import them into its own library 1st. Do a forum search for 2 words: itunes & ipod. Also see these:

4. Do a search under my name for itunes & you'll find other not so well known alternatives.
