exe extension are exe extension programs safe to download? |
anyone |
can somebody help please |
Some are safe, some not. |
No, it's not safe to run .exe files you've downloaded. Do not ever execute programs downloaded from anywhere but the official website. If you check the file with an anti-virus scanner and it finds nothing, that means - absolutely nothing. A program can do bad things without being a virus at all. |
if your wize about it and you know what your doing ,there safe. on the other hand if you dont know what your doing you could DL somthing that could kill your computer . kindof like handeling snakes....as long as your carful and know what your doing nothing bad will happen. if you do somthing stupid ,your dead |
Well, just because it doesn't kill your disk, this doesn't mean a worm, virus or otherwise malicious program won't cause harm to others. Even if you're very very careful it's almost impossible to ensure your computer doesn't turn into a spam relay or tries to infect other machines, for example, by exploiting bugs in their operating systems or applications. There's exactly one safe way to use untrusted software: Put it on a CD or DVD, insert the the disc to a computer that is never, ever connected to any network - neither local nor the internet. That's paranoid but it's the truth nonetheless. |
