converting avi files - HELP!
 

I have downloaded a movie and burned it to DVD. I can play the dvd on my computer but it won't play on my DVD player so I can watch it on my TV. Do I need to convert the avi file? What format should it be converted to and what program will do this for me? I have sonic and DVD Architect 2 - will these programs help?
