dll ,dat files

When I down load these How do I open them up?

Dear bandit1

Some of these files, dll, dat and other unusable files could contain viruses, spyware and things that secretly install themselves on your PC.

I would strongly suggest that you filter them from your download results and delete the ones you have already downloaded.

There is no reason why someone would share a *.dll file over a P2P network unless he was up to no good.

Not necessarily true.

It could be someone sharing "drivers".

Drivers?

Dear ursula

You may be right but if you wanted a driver, or update an existing driver, you would go to the maker's web site, not try to get it over a P2P network.

I still feel that anyone that posts a *.dll is up to no good.
