Hello, long time reader first time poster.......

I am experiencing problems searching. Say I want to search for Metallica. I will go and click any type then type Metallica and the search goes until it ends, but without any results. So I go and try searching for Metallica under audio.....same results.....I have tried it in every catagory. My search is restricted to 3 or better stars, and cable or better connections. I am running XP. I have used this program for a really long time and have never had this problem untill recently. I tried changing the compatiblility to 2k.
Alas no help. Now every once in a while I will get 1 and only 1 search to go thru. I am on a cable connection. I turn my machine off rarely. But in the intrest of science i have tried rebooting with no results. I have left my pc off for 10 hrs and still the same result.
I opened my search options back up so it is no longer cable or better or 3 stars or better, and still the same results........
I am using Pro.
Can anyone help????? Please…

Yeah, sorry I didn't say I was using Lime Wire. I thought by saying Pro, would tell you what version I was using. I checked and made sure that the firewall allowed the javaw.exe access to the net. Also port is set for 6346.
Sorry but I am not following you on the "Direct Connect". I do not know what that is. What should the I P Address be? and where in the settings do I change it. Sorry for any inconvience or Brain wear. Hope I am giving enough Information
