I recently ripped a few of my Cd's into my shared fodler, tryed to put them up for sharing, i refreshed, restarted LW nothing happens, all the songs that i ripped from teh Cd's are in the windows media format, and they wont play on burnt Cd's either, can someone please help me, thanks.

Re-rip them as mp3's. Not too many people want wma files. Windows media formats are prone to diseases & licencing requirements, etc. Not to mention people needing to convert them in many cases before burning.
When you burn your audio disks don't choose the maximum speed. |

ok, teh question i got for you now is, how do i rip them as mp3's, because usally i just ripped them as wma files, and thanks for all teh help, its much apriciated

Does WMP not have the ability to rip as mp3's? I don't use the windows verson wmp. There's other alternatives & some are free. Not being a windows user per se I don't know what they are.
Actually I just did a quick google for free mp3 rippers from cd & found these ones (click on link) & yes they're all free. Other results are HERE. May I recommend you set the bit-rate for encoding much higher than 128 kbps. 320 is the highest. 192 is good & anything above that is highly sought after. |
