codecs and burning large audio files

please help, cant play or burn a large audio file because media player does not recognize the file or it says maybe its because of the codecs used to compress the . is there anyway to uncompress these files if that is the problem?

Tell us what type of files these are. What are the file extensions?

codecs and burning large audio files

I`m sorry , by files I mean simply complete albums that I downloaded . media player says it might not support the codecs that were used to compress the album. It suggested to try using a newsreader possibly.

WHole albums, then are they albumwrap? Have a look in the LW Open Discussion section of this forum for a Sticky about How to downld a whole album/albumwrap. Albumwrap can unwrap them for you.

Alternatively they might use a codec wmp doesn't have. Might I suggest a backup audio player: QCD which is free & has in-built codecs: http://www.quinnware.com/
