avi,wmv files I am running windows xp. I need help on what to do to be able to view avi files, wmv,mpg files. I have some downloads and can not open these downloads. Message said files are from an external player or license accuire. Also inform me on any dangers of these downloads. Andy |
Well I have filtered out wmv and wma files. Most of those are spam or fake files from my experience. They can aslo contain nasty things you don't want. Anything that asks for a license I delete immediately if not sooner. If you fill out the information they are getting information about you, that you may not want them to have. I would also set your firewall to block any programs you use to view or play files with. ie. WMP, RP, Nero Showtime, etc., This way no information will be u/l without your knowledge. I have had the best luck with avi, mpg, & mpeg files. A full movie will be appx. 700 MB or larger. They may aslo come in 2 or 3 parts.
