God I'm an idiot

Just ignore this message or please take the **** out of me if necessary, I have just started this thread I then went back into the LimeWire forum only to read the Sticky directly above it! DOH!

Greetings

I am trying to convert all my .wav files into a format readable by a Compact disc player, NOT CD-ROM.

1) Do they need converting or are they readable in a WAV format?

2) If they need converting, i)what format do I convert them to? ii) Can anyone reccomend any pertinent software

I await your answers with baited breath

Regards:

Depending on what OS you use, NERO or TOAST are two great applications to have for burning various stuff.
All you need to do is drag-and-drop into the appropriate fields and then click Burn Audio CD (not Data disc or .mp3 CD).
The format in CDs is .cda, but using such an app to burn an audio CD will automatically convert the files for you

Hey, Krazy_Ivan... Delightful to meet someone who actually admits that they didn't first do the RTFM routine !!!

Welcome !

And... please try the free application

CDex 1.51

which you can find by clicking on the same named link in my sig below...

Converts whatever you've got to whatever you want... ;)

If you are interested, be sure to have a look around for some other posts here that are on the same subject...
