Can someone give me some pointers please!!?
 
Hi, quite new to all this but have got the gist of downloading music no problems and burning etc....the probs i have with is all these differant bloomin file names avi,wmv etc haha.I have looked at alot of threads to try and understand all these terms but not getting no where. I for instance wanna download some movies can ya give me some pointers and ideas on best what to use for this. Also there is few games ive seen that would like to down load(in zip file)could ya also give me some pointers for that too anyone:) it'll be very much appreciated thankyou.I made a new thread so anything i need to know or need will be all on this one.
But mostly a good amount of help on these avi and wmv files will be much appreciated thanks.:)

I wouldn't recommend wmv for downlding if you intend to burn them. Many have licencing & other dialler links & many are fake titles.

For the other topic, don't downld exe files.

i can't seem to download a viewable movie period. Thay also take forever to download just to find out they don't work. what's the deal there? thanks

If you have burning software, then the .avi-to-DVD conversion is done automatically when you burn, because otherwise a movie in DVD format (it's one of the .mpegs. I think MPEG2) is too big.

So, anyway, to make a DVD you need burning software that supports that.
