avi files
 

what can play avi files? my windows media player 9 wont. if this is the wrong area please tell me. this is the first time on this fourm. Please provide a link for the player if u do.

WMP won't play them b/c it needs xtra CODECs.
See CODECs list for Movies I would highly recommend getting VLC which will play almost everything. Keep in mind that avi is simply an outer shell, what's inside can vary. There's many different types of avi.
