Is there a way to have limewire without it messing up your pc?!!?
 

I had limewire for a year, and I liked it very much, until i started to get viruses on my pc, i brought it to bestbuy and they said this was a result of limewire!!! I want to know, is there a way to get limewire, without it messing up your pc?!?!

Not the fault of LW or most P2Ps. This is the fault of you downloading files with viruses without a good antivirus. Get AVAST a free antivirus: http://www.avast.com/

LW wont put virruses on your pc by itself...you have to download somthing that has a virrus in it.

and of corce bestbuy will say it was LW...they sell music and movies and want you to but them insted of DLing them.

and how do you know it was limewire?? it could have come from the internet while surfing....hell once i put a BRAND NEW floppy in my computer to save a paper on it and it had a virrus on it fresh out of the wrapper.

they can get in in weird ways...you need a good antivirrus program , nod32 i think is a verry good one , or AVG (those are bothe free(legaly)) or you can pay for one like panda platinum (wich i use)or norton or symantec or somthing.

even mac/linux arent compleatley safe from virruses now.
