Question downloads

I was told I should only download AVI, is this true and do I need any different software to download others.
When I download a movie, why does it play perfectly for about one and a half hours then keeps stopping and cant watch the end, very frustrating Help...

AVI and MPG are the onley ones that you should Dl movies as ....WMV is allmoast allways a stupid ad or contains a virrus or is fake.

the movie you dled may be corrupted or you may just not have finished the dl and it is onley playing the portion you have dled and thus stoping 3/4 the way thru

or you may have gotten an mpaa fake file that porpusley had the end cut off to try to make you buy the movie to see the end.

try playing the file with VLC player and see if the end is there...maybe WMP is choking on a spot in the video...

and no you dont need any more software to DL mpg movies (possibley CODECS but there EZ to find/install).

yes you can.

actualy since dvd video is mpeg2 itself your player should be able to read most mpeg files without putting it on a dvd, just put ur DLed mpeg on a CD if its smaller than 700mb the same way you do when you burn a data cd and the player should be able to read it that way.
or if it wont cooperate that way you can just burn it to a dvd as normal.(i dont think you get the chapters and u cant skip around in the movie with the data cd method)

i find it much ez er to record my DLed movies to VHS tape because my dvds often fail and tapes are cheeper than blank dvds...
