AVI Won't play

I've downloaded windows media 10. I'm havin rouble playing AVI files everyone comes up with a codec error give me some help. what do I need to do I new to ths have no clue. Any help will be great no **** takers

Get Realplayer

Get Realplayer Don't Use Windows Media Player.

They would have exactly the same problem with Realplayer as WMP. Fact is, you don't have the correct CODECs. I wouldn't recommend either player personally. lol :D One player I would recommend, even if you only use it as a backup player, it has in-built codecs & is very reliable (not very pretty interface though ... but it works): VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose nearest mirror site)
