Your DVD player will not read .AVI files. You must re-encode the files to make them readable by your player. Go to www.download.com to browse through and choose which freeware or shareware program is right for you. Good luck.

Converting AVI's

Just thought you'd like to know a specific program that is good for what you need.

I use 'Real Player Converter'. You can cross format different extensions and gives excellent results. I've used it for Audio CD's, and DVD's equally well. It can be found on www.cnet.com or www.zdnet.com

Hope it helps!

There is a great program available called 'DVD Santa' from www.dvdsanta.com

It takes avi movies and converts and burns them into DVDs - it's not freeware though.

Hope this helps,
