My Mp3s no longer play in my Windows Media Player! Please help!

For some reason my old MP3s don't play in any of my players besides the LimeWire player. It's driving me nuts, now I can't burn my CDs. I think I need to reset my downloads or something. How do I do that? Will it cure my MP3s? Thanks if any body knows what to do.

Liszten to me. :)

If you dissable your limewire player in Limewire's preferences or options > player and try to open an mp3 it should ask you to select a new player for it, and I think you can then chose that player as the default. Sorry I'm a Mac user, but that should work, in roughly the manner I have described.

I tried that and it didn't work.... Does anybody else know anything that might help?

I wonder a few things. You may need to remove them from your WMP playlists & re-add them. Try that. I do know there is a bug with the Describe function on LW that only affects wmp after the mp3's have been earlier added to wmp's playlist. It somehow stuffs up the id3 tag in a way that wmp doesn't like & will refuse to play there after. If all fails, you could always try a different player. iTunes is not affected by that bug & will allow you to burn cd's.
