Watching video

I know there is probably an answer to this somewhere but a 15 minute search did not find it.

Question: When attempting to watch certain video's, it says that Real Player needs to download additonal componants to play the video. When you select OK, it searches Real Player and returns with "No updates are available." Once it told me I need an Mpeg 2 decoder. Is there one that is included with a player so I don't have to fuss with things much? I don't like muckin about.

It's probably a codec problem??

Be careful how you reply because I may not understand the jargin. Thanks!!!

Try using vlc media player, it already has the codecs in it and will play most any file: VLC media player (choose the nearest mirror site).
