what is the my fellow americans download thing all about?
 

I want my winmx program back limewire is sucking all the way around for me - it is so much more complicated - never saw a wma file or whatever it's called i could download but my computer will not play it but i have heavy security all the way around i have a 56K some songs that i download go superfast and when i play it, it says "My fellow americans blah blah blah " what the hell is this someone please tell me?

I'm not too sure why anybody would want to downld wma files. What you should know about WMA/WMV Files

mp3, m4a, aiff, wav, flac, etc. are arguably better. Personally I filter out .wma files using the keyword filter.

2. Learn to use Bitzi lookup: How to use Bitzi Web Lookup ... so you can check feedback about files if reports about them have been made on their database.

3. Preview the file as it's downlding to check it's what it's supposed to be & it plays ok.

For music:
1. Beware of T3 Spammers; mp3 Bit-Rates Versus File Sizes Be careful of newest releases of popular music.

2. Check what you're downlding is what it is supposed to be. Make sure the file size is appropriate. Even preview the file as it's downlding.
