New to this need help!! plz

hi all, Am new to all this and theres a few things i cant work out.
- What does a ripped bit of paper mean in the quality column? is it incomplete?
- and also a box with a green tick in it??? :confused:
-Speed??? what is a good speed? T1? cable? modem.
