lime wire and ipod

in looking for some help in downloading tunes on to my ipod from my shared file (limewire).i managed to get some songs although not all and i also deleted all the songs that were previously on there (my ipod library was basically replaced).pretty shitty deal.i currently have 2 folders in limewire where the downloaded songs get sent to a shared folder and and a individually shared(not sure how to designate which one the songs go into).then on the itunes site im not sure how to merge my tunes from limewire to my itunes library.that is without deleting the previous stored library.
any input would be greatly apprieciated.

Go to the Open Discussion section of the LimeWire forum. There you'll find a sticky (in red) about transferring music to iPod and iTunes.

The sticky is excelent.

A WARNING DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING IN THE LIBRARY except incomplete files you no longer need. You will lose any files you delete permanantly and instantly!!!!!
