Error 37, A bad file name or volume name
 

Hi all, new to this. cannot play some video's now { could b4 } Error message says " Error 37, a bad filename or volume name was encounted". operating on windows XP. Limewire 4.9.37

This may or may not be an issue due to renaming the file or it's attributes within LW. LW would need to be refreshed using the Refresh button for these changes to be recognised, otherwise the file might not be regcognised. Also, I'd recommend getting VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) with its in-built codecs. It's generally very reliable. To see what it can play see http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html You can also downld extra skins. It's good for audio & video streaming & can recognise many audio formats despite it being fundamentally a video player.
