playback speed too fast
 

Hopefully, I've come to the right place with my first post....
My problem is that any audio file I download and try to play, plays back at what appears to be about double-speed. This happens with Windows Media Player, and with the Limewire player also.
Any ideas as to why, and what can be done about it?

The problem could be with your audio card, possible fix here: Song playback too fast
