Need help with a certain codec

I've got a video of which I can't figure out the audio codecs. I usually have all necessary codecs' installed (K-Lite codec Pack, lame-3.96.1, TFM Audio Filter - Movie Soundtrack Compressor/Channels Effect FREEWARE ver. 1.0 beta 8 and DivX 5.0). When looking up the codecs with GSpot there aren't any displayed, though I can play the movie -without sound. Opening the movie in my Media Classic Player I get following message (which is for me, to be honest, like Chinese backwards  ):

Media Player could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codecs of filter installed on your system

Stream 0

Media Type 0:

nChannels: 1
nSamplesPerSec: 16000
nAvgBytesPerSec: 2000
nBlockAlign: 128
wBitsPerSample: 16
cbSize: 16 (extra bytes)

And when pushing the button that says 'search for codecs on the internet, I get following screen message:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql.sourceforge.net' (111) in /home/groups/g/gu/guliverkli/htdocs/codec.php on line 14

Sorry, we couldn't find any codec with that guid in our database, the good news is that we will investigate your submission and probably add it later.

Could anyone tell me what codecs I need and maybe where I can get a hand on it?
Something about my system, in case that would be of interest to help me:

XP Pro SP2
1.024 GB Ram
2.53 GHz Celron
Media Players installed:
Windows Media Player 10
Real Player 6.0.12.1235
Jet Audio 6, 2, 6, 8330
Quick Time Player 6.5.2
Media Player Classic 6, 4, 8, 4
WinAmp 5.0.0.8
VLC 0.8.4.0

So, that seems to be all what I could tell you for now. Any idea??
Thanks in advance for any effort of yours
Cheers

Try VLC. It's pretty flexible. www.videolan.org

Thanks Aaron for your suggestion. I've just downloaded it and tried to play the movie. Unfortunately, no sound either. The only difference with the VLC player is that there is no error message poping up informing me about audio issues.

Guess I've to look further...........anyone else any idea:confused: ;)

Ooops sorry

I see the word guliverkli in the WMP messages perhaps installing that player might help.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/

No problem pal; I'm glad you looked at it.
I tried and downloaded 'guliverkli', which seems to be a codecs package (quite a big one, so to say) and in the 'bin' folder of the rar file I found an .exe file which I installed (though I don't know where the installation went to). Then I tried to play the movie again with the VLC player, the MP Classic and with my Jet Audio player.
The results were the same (except that the MP Classic didn't even bother to show a picture, whereas the other 2 did), no sound. So, either I made something wrong with the installation of the guliverkli (actually a funny name) or that hasn't been the ultimate solution.
But, when playing the movie in the Jet Audio player, I got following error message:

File Info :
File Name : (name removed by myself to prevent any problems with the forum rules:D )
Duration : 0:45:49
File Type : ASF

Video Info :
Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2, 320 x 240, 291 Kbps

Audio Info (** ERROR **):
Audio : Voxware MetaSound, Mono, 16KHz, 16 Kbps

Could that be a lead to the codecs I'll need??

Cheers

Sorry Mario I'm not a video expert

I would do a (google) search for the file extention + audio codec

or try this Voxware codec, it looks like that's your problem according to the last error message http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...udio_CoDec.htm
