Y cant i save avi to dvd with nero when Ive done it Before ?
 

Hi,
sorry to be a pain,
but Im a complete Newbie at this,
What it is, Is Ive been having a ball finding films for myself and my kids,
and Ive just Found The **e *ge sequel,
but I cant figure out why Nero wont let me download it onto a disc,
It says its 'mpg' in the title, and Ive tried opening it with different programs; It plays fine on the pc but only with Divx, and I can download it onto a computer disc,
It just says 'Unable to insert' when I try with Nero,
this is really frustrating, especially after Ive downloaded about 30 films with the same title, only to find its porn (how rude)
I know Im probably asking a really obvious question
- And I hope some nice person will give me an obvious answer...
(I apologise for spelling)

What Version Nero do you have ?
 

If you have Nero 7, then you should try to update it. There were some problems encoding .mpg in the first release. It's free if you bought the program :)

My aplogises 'Lord of the Rings' - And to 'Sleepless', thank you ever so much - the thing is how do i know what version of nero i have, the desk top short cut just says nero 'startsmart' and if i can upgrade, how do I ? - thankyou for your response and time, gilly

Open Nero Startsmart and press "Nero" (upper left corner of screen). It will say Nero 7 Premium if you bought the newest version. You can only update for free not upgrade from Nero 6 (I think you can get it at reduced cost though if you allready have bought Nero 6). If it is a cracked program don't try to update/upgrade it won't work and your Nero will start acting up untill you buy it. Believe me I tried :o

I didnt even know you could upgrade,
so I tried and updated a few at a time,
and Ive got loads of new stuff -
Made Up.
I still cant get the film I wanted to disc,
- but never mind eh -
Like I said Ive been updated a few at a time, and everything seems ok -
But if things start going pear shaped
Am I ok to uninstall Nero and start again
I know you said not too, so dont shout...
