ok newbie here.. so I need some help
 

in file downloads......
I have media player, but another file shows up that has an icon I dont recognize it is window box with three small icons in it.. when I place or click on right it says it is a MOV file.. what type of download is this and where can I down load to view?

That normally happens if you don't have a default program to open such a file. If it's a video file, then get this player: VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) as it has in-built codecs & is generally very reliable. ;)
