Dodgy file downloaded

can any person advise me on the following,i have downloaded a music file called [edit], allegedly 107Meg but will not play, right clicking fails to give a full dropdown display. i have tried to delete the file and cannot, i have tried to shred it with steganos but although steganos says that the file has been removed it is still there. the two host references that i have are as follows: 10.****.30253 (666)
and 86.****.123
please can any person help or point me in the right direction for assistance.
i have tried to upload the file but i am told that it is not there, maybe i should contact the most haunted crew.
many thanks to all

You may have been missing the right audio codec to play it ... but it might also have been corrupt or something. Sometimes you can't delete a file because it's being shared. Closing LW usually does the trick. Other options see Incomplete Download File won't delete at all (click on link)

BearShare detects DRM in that file. If the version you downloaded had only two
sources then it probably was corrupted as well and thereby doubly impossible to
play as well as difficult to delete because Windows Explorer got stuck trying to
read meta data within the file.

I just checked the most popular version of that file and it is playable and deletes easily.
You probably did get a bad copy. Look for the one with hundreds of sources.

bigboyd told me that "Delinvfile" solved his problem for deleting that file.
