no silly the futuriximager i tried to open it but first i loaded it and it has the icon on my desk top i doulbe click and it tries to make me load it all over again!!!

Okay, I'll download it and check it on my machine (I run XP SP2).
I'll let you knwo how it works for me and what needs to be done.....

Okay, I've downloaded and installed it with no problems whatsoever.
Is it possible that an Anti virus program prevents you from opening it??
If you get it open, go to "File>Open..."
Browse your computer to locate the file and open it.
Then go to "Edit>Edit Image...."
On the right side you will see the word "Resize" which will offer you options for pixle and percentages.
When you are finish, go back to File>Save as...
Give it a name and choose "Compu Serve GIF (*gif)"
And that's it.........

If all your looking for is an easy way to resize your avatar and don't want to do anything else, then this site will do it for you: http://resizepic.com/.

After you resize it, just download it to your hdd, then you can add it to the forum using the User CP.
