Help! Audio & tags problems. Also where to find downloaded songs?

I've downloaded quite a bit of music, most of which also saved to a file in My Music files. However, not all saved there. I've been downloading music for an online MP3 player, and I need to know how to find the Tags for those files that did not save into My Music folder so I can load those onto the MP3 player as well. Can anyone help me???

Where is the downloaded music?

TYSpider, I had the same prob, and after using Search on Windows XP Home on many Topics such as Song name, Song artist, etc, with only some succcess, I used Search on MP3 and that showed the songs I couldnt find.

Sorry about the unhelpful juvenile posts here...hopefully they'l be removed.

Re: Help!

Thanks for your suggestions MrKISS, I'll give that a shot. As for the juvenile reply before yours, I don't pay too much attention to idgits! :)

Can anyone out there tell me how to get my down loaded files to play? I had LimeWire before I had to scrub my hard drive and now I can not get anything to play. Any ideas?

Be wary of using the describe function in LW's Library window. If your files are intended for WMP, then WMP may not be able to play them. LW are aware of this problem (wmp can not read compressed id3 tags like most other audio programs can). So an update of LW will fix this issue. Or instead, use a different audio player.

BTW for quick access to your LW download folder: go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you.
In fact, hold your cursor over the Saved Files folder in LW's Library & it will show the location.

Also keep in mind that WMP is a reference player. It is a playlist player. It points to where the song is. If the song file no longer exists in that location, then the player (WMP) won't be able to find or play it.
