Is DVD Santa a good burner, or is there a better one which I can try for free?
Becuase with DVD Santa it wont write to my DVD-RW, is says error then a bunch of numbers.

As suggested by Peerless, Nero 7 is VG. For free or trial program, try TMPG encoder & burner. BTW you can also search that site for others. That's a very good site. They also have a forum for questions you may have.
