DVD burning

I am new at trying to do this this. What dvd burning program do you use to burn DVD movies? Also what brand of blank DVD's do you use? Thank you for all the help!!

Well it depends. Do you mean just burning a DVD that's allready a DVD (in that case use Nero Recode)

If you mean converting an eg. avi file to DVD and then burning it, then use Nero, DVD Santa or other similar programs.

I use Nero (Nero Vision)

A Guide is here:

Yes, I mean burning a dvd that is already a dvd, is there any other programs that I am going to need to burn the dvd, Nero? One more question what is the cheapest but best dvd to use for quality picture and sound!! Thanks for the help!!!!

I always use Verbatim disks. What kind exactly depends mostly on where you want to watch them. Check your DVD Player for what it plays (eg. DVD+R, DVD-RW etc.)

Nero Recode should be all you need: www.nero.com (It's in the Nero7 Package. One month trial version available there. Costs around $60 to buy online.)

One more thing. Have you ever heard of Diseny movies giving you a hard time with copying them?

Sleepless December 6th, 2006 09:23 AM

Oh. you mean backing up DVDs. Almost all DVDs have copyprotection on them.

This should help:

I guess I am an idiot. Now that the dvd decrypter is done and saved on my hard drive, what do I do to put it on a blank dvd?

Sleepless December 6th, 2006 10:37 AM

You have to save the original DVD to harddrive and then use Nero Recode to Recode/burn it so it fits on the new DVD. (Unless you bought dual layer DVD-R, the disk is smaller 4.7 GB as oppose to probably 7GB on the original)

The DVD Decrypter is a program that helps you remove the protection so you can backup your original DVD. Turn on the program then copy the disk to your harddrive

Just read through the guides at www.videohelp.com

This really shouldn't be discussed here since this is a P2P forum and might be taken the wrong way
