For your LW problem, try steps 1, 3 & 5 from the link below. Make sure to use the offline installer for JRE & to delete your current version before installing the new one.
Before deleting LW's preferences folder, make sure LW is properly closed.
Fixes for Limewire

Wow I tried the DELETE FXP FILES and that worked! I am so happy now trying to get limewire back up and running hehe....Thanks for your help I am happy I joined the thread :-)
