THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I think I got it. I had to do it a little differently but the concept seems to be the same. It looks good so far. My 7 year-old and her new MP3 player thanks you!

The + icon might be in a different location if using WMP 9 or earlier such as at top of WMP's window of media library (need to click on media library tab to get to appropriate window).

By default My Music folder is found at C:\Documents and Settings\Account name\My Documents\My Music
WMP 9 & 10 go to that location by default when choosing Add Folder.

If you are using LimeWire & all your music is there, you need to find your LW download folder; this link has some suggested locations you might find it If you updated LimeWire & cannot find your Downloads

You need to actually select the My Music folder when adding by folder.

I presume your music is in there? Else it could be in your Limewire -> Saved folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\Account name\My Documents\My Music

or for LW probably C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\LimeWire\Saved

You could of course move the music files from LW's download folder to My Music folder. But would hope you'd add that folder to LW shares.

Image sample below is WMP 10 on Windows XP:

It depends on how one defines "better". I consider the two players you mentioned as bloatware. You might consider my favorite MP3 player, 1By1, too small and limited; my favorite CD burner, Burrn, too simple.

Many of us here recommend VLC Player or GOM Player. Both are free, have very similar advanced capabilities, and come with all necessary CODECs (unlike WMP).

Greetings tmgreen19986, and welcome to the Gnutella forums.

You have not provided enough information for any of us to help you. What type of computer and operating system you use, the software you use for burning CDs, and a description of the problems would help us to help you.
